How it works

  1. Upload a PDF — or load the sample agreement to try it.
  2. Place fields — click a field type, then click on the page where it goes. Drag fields to move them.
  3. Send — add the signer’s name and email. In demo mode no email is sent: copy the signing link and share it yourself.
  4. Signer signs — draw, type or upload a signature, fill date/text fields, finish.
  5. Download the signed PDF — signatures are embedded in the PDF, with a full audit trail (who, when, IP, email).

Demo mode: everything is stored in this browser only (localStorage). It is for trying eSign — it does not send real emails and a signer on another device cannot open your demo link. Connect the Worker (Pricing & settings) for live mode.

1 · Upload a PDF

PDF only, up to 5 MB in demo mode (10 MB in live mode). The file never leaves this browser in demo mode.

Pricing — monthly subscription (NOT lifetime)

Single — $19/month · 1 user · 100 envelopes per user per year

Team — $69/month · 5 users · 100 envelopes per user per year (500/year total) · $828/year, or $690/year with 2 months free

Envelope cap: 100 envelopes per user per year (Team plan, like DocuSign Standard). The same 100/user/year is applied to Single in this v1 demo — confirm the Single-plan cap with Qasim before selling. Payment checkout (Paddle) is not built yet — no payment or licence gate in this preview.

Cost per envelope (Cloudflare free tier): about $0.01–$0.05 at volume — Workers free 100k requests/day, D1 free 5M reads / 100k writes per day. See README for the maths. No paid email API is used at start: the sender brings their own email (BYO-SMTP / SES) or the optional Resend key in the Worker.

Backend — live mode

Leave blank for demo mode (this browser only). Paste the deployed Worker URL to send real envelopes — see README “Deploy the Worker”. The Worker is not deployed yet.

About

Toolzo eSign is clean-room code written for Toolzo — own UI, own name, own backend. DocuSeal (AGPL-3.0) was used only as a feature checklist; no DocuSeal code, UI or branding was copied. PDF rendering: Mozilla pdf.js (Apache-2.0). PDF editing: pdf-lib (MIT). Full attributions in THIRD-PARTY-LICENSES.md.

Legal note: this v1 records an audit trail (signer, time, IP, email, field values) but is not a certified qualified electronic signature (QES) and has had no legal review — do not sell it as legally binding in a specific jurisdiction without one.
